Verification, explained

Know what has actually been checked

Understand identity-verified and document-reviewed badges, separate education and income checks, and the limits of matrimonial verification.

Verification should answer a specific question, not replace your judgement. Always look at the type of check, method, result and date.

Identity verified: a successful source check

A green identity badge appears only when a supported provider returns an authenticated result confirming matched identity claims and the required liveness check for the current profile version. Availability depends on the operator’s configured and permitted service.

Identity reviewed: alternative evidence

An authorised reviewer can examine a supported alternative identity document. This is shown as an identity review with its own badge, not as the green source-verification result. Members can understand which process was used.

Education and employment are separate

Degrees, institutions, employment and income are not automatically certified by an identity check. If evidence is submitted, its review status is separate. An unreviewed statement remains self-declared.

Financial information needs context

An income review should identify the period and evidence reviewed. A tax document, an annual amount or a company figure should not be presented as a guarantee of current monthly take-home pay. Original evidence remains private; an approved member may receive only a consented summary.

Aadhaar is not a complete personal history

Do not expect an Aadhaar check to fetch a degree, current salary or complete family background. This website does not provide a public Aadhaar lookup or display Aadhaar numbers. Do not send Aadhaar images through general document upload or email.

Why a badge can change

Identity-critical profile edits, photo replacement and expiry can require a new review. A badge is a dated check, not a permanent guarantee of accuracy, conduct, criminal history or compatibility.
